Graffiti busters to clean two-week old vandalism on Flintshire war memorial

A NATIONAL cleaning company has stepped in to help remove the two-week old graffiti from a town’s war memorial.

Residents were left outraged after discovering a swastika on the Connah’s Quay and Shotton war memorial, across the plate commemorating those that fought for their country.

The outline of the graffiti can still be seen despite officers from Flintshire Council’s Streetscene trying to remove it.

The Leader has previously reported that they were limited to what they can do without causing damage but a national company had offered to clear it using specialist equipment.
