We are proud to share that GB Facilities Services has recently been featured in the latest issue of iN Merton, the official community magazine of The London Borough of Merton, highlighting our involvement in the borough’s new free graffiti removal initiative.

As the dedicated graffiti removal contractor for The London Borough of Merton, our team has been working hard to help local businesses quickly and effectively remove graffiti and vandalism from their premises. To support this initiative, The London Borough of Merton has allocated additional funding, enabling businesses across the borough to access professional graffiti removal services completely free of charge.

The latest issue of iN Merton showcases the positive impact of the scheme, featuring a recent project completed by our team for Mimi Kifle, owner of Ethio True Beauty salon in Mitcham. After graffiti appeared on her shop shutters, Mimi contacted the council for assistance.

Speaking to the magazine, Mimi said:

“I care about this area because I’ve been here a long time. I looked into removing the graffiti myself, but it was too expensive. I didn’t know what to do. I was over the moon when they offered to remove it. It looks nice and clean again. The best thing is coming to work and seeing everything fresh. It makes me happy to open the shop each day.”

Our own Mark Wilson was featured alongside Mimi in the article, representing the dedication and hard work of our rapid-response teams, who work tirelessly to tackle graffiti and reduce repeat incidents across the borough.

Working in partnership with The London Borough of Merton, GB Facilities Services is committed to delivering a fast and effective service that helps keep local communities clean, safe, and welcoming. Together, we are working towards a target of completing 95% of graffiti removal requests within five working days, while ensuring any offensive or hate-related graffiti is removed within 24 hours.

We are delighted to play a key role in supporting local businesses and helping to maintain pride in the borough’s streets and public spaces
