Protecting Public Art in the Heart of Northampton

GB Facilities Services Ltd recently completed specialist surface protection for the new heritage mural on St Andrew’s Road, Northampton.
This vibrant mural, which celebrates the legacy of Northampton Castle, was commissioned by Fermynwoods Contemporary Art, in partnership with West Northamptonshire Council, and painted by the talented team at Studio Studio.
Once the mural was completed, our team was brought in to:
  • Apply invisible anti-graffiti surface protection
  • Seal the mural against pollutants, weathering, and potential tagging
  • Preserve the finish while maintaining full breathability of the surface
We used  a high-performance protective coating trusted across heritage and commercial projects. It’s micro-permeable, fully reversible, and UV-resistant – meaning the mural will remain a vibrant landmark for years to come.
