Graffiti Busters were delighted to be appointed by Lancaster University Estates Department to professionally deep clean 440m² of external high/low level white brickwork on InfoLab21. Using specialist access equipment and a HPW unit working @ approximately 1500psi/90-150˚C combined with high performance cleaning products. Graffiti Busters successfully removed stains, moisture related spots, algae and general soiling.
Post cleaning a hydrophobic impregnation coating was applied to the brickwork a system designed to provide stain and water repellency. Acting as an invisible yet breathable barrier against oil penetration, water, frost and organic growth. This has enabled the University to reduce their annual maintenance spend and improved the life cycle of the building. Underpinned by the BREEAM excellent rating the products specified conformed to BS 6477:1992. On completion the client was delighted with the quality of the finish and has since submitted plans to clean the Ruskin Library on campus.
