GB Facilities Services Ltd was proud to work alongside Rice Projects to deliver an elite internal clean at Haven Barn, a carefully restored barn project for renowned designer Jay Osgerby.

The property had been sympathetically restored using existing and reclaimed natural weathered oak, meaning conventional or abrasive cleaning methods could not be used. Every surface required a highly considered approach to achieve the required finish while protecting the integrity and character of the materials.

Client: Rice Projects
Project: Haven Barn
Service: Specialist Internal Cleaning
Duration: 7 days across 3 separate site visits
Specialist Approach: Low Pressure Steam Cleaning & Purified Water

Our works included:

Low Pressure Steam Cleaning – Providing controlled specialist cleaning across timber substrates without the use of abrasive methods

Purified Water Cleaning – Using purified water throughout the project to achieve a high-quality finish while respecting the natural materials

Sensitive Surface Care – Adapting our methods to protect existing and reclaimed weathered oak throughout the property

Detail-Led Finishing – Taking a meticulous approach across each visit to ensure the completed clean complemented the exceptional standard of the wider restoration

The specialist clean was completed over seven days across three separate site visits, with every stage carefully managed around the requirements of the restored materials and the wider project.

Haven Barn is a great example of where specialist cleaning becomes part of the overall craftsmanship rather than simply the final step. We’re proud to have contributed to such a carefully considered restoration, delivering the standard of finish the property and its materials deserved.
