Preparing Northampton for the Women’s Rugby World Cup
GB Facilities Services Ltd was proud to support Northampton Partnership Homes with a major programme of facade and estate cleaning at St James Estate, helping prepare the area for the installation of a new mural celebrating the Women’s Rugby World Cup.
Across a huge footprint of over 17,900m² of external surfaces, our team carried out extensive specialist cleaning works, creating a clean and refreshed backdrop for an inspiring piece of public art celebrating women’s rugby and Northampton’s connection to the sport.

High-Level Render Cleaning – Cleaning extensive rendered elevations across the estate to improve their overall appearance
Surface-Safe Pressure Washing – Using appropriate pressure washing techniques to effectively clean external surfaces while protecting the underlying substrate
Facade Cleaning – Removing accumulated dirt and contamination to refresh the appearance of the buildings
Estate Appearance Uplift – Delivering wider external cleaning works to improve the overall presentation of the estate ahead of the mural installation
The extensive cleaning programme provided the clean canvas needed for the new Women’s Rugby World Cup mural, helping transform the surrounding environment ahead of its installation.
The project became even more memorable following the Red Roses’ World Cup victory, making the finished mural a fitting celebration of women’s rugby, sporting achievement and local community pride.
